IGLUE Connects Education and Gaming at Global Game Jam 2026

IGLUE Connects Education and Gaming at Global Game Jam…

As part of the world’s largest gaming event, Global Game Jam 2026, held at Belgrade Metropolitan University, the IGLUE project was presented through promotional roll-ups and flyers, bringing the project closer to young people interested in gaming, digital technologies, and innovative approaches to learning.

The event gathered more than 120 participants from high schools and universities, who, during intensive game development sessions, had the opportunity to learn about the concept of educational escape rooms as a contemporary learning tool. This environment—where creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving come together—represents a natural setting for the ideas promoted by the IGLUE project.

The IGLUE project (Implementation of Game-Based Learning Using Escape Rooms – 2024-1-ES01-KA220-HED-000256356) aims to encourage universities across Europe to enhance teaching practices through the use of educational escape rooms, which support both subject-specific knowledge and the development of transversal skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and decision-making. Through the development of a virtual platform and the training of educators, IGLUE contributes to the advancement of innovative, digital, and participatory teaching practices in higher education.

The presence of the IGLUE project at Global Game Jam further highlighted the importance of connecting education with the gaming industry, as well as the potential of games to become powerful tools for learning and youth engagement in today’s digital environment.

More information about the project is available on the project Website, and you can follow IGLUE on social media: LinkedIn, Facebook, X, YouTube, and TikTok.
