IGLUE Project Kick-Off Meeting

IGLUE Project Kick-Off Meeting

We are thrilled to announce the successful kick-off meeting for the IGLUE Project (Implementation of Game-based Learning Using Escape rooms)! This groundbreaking initiative aims to revolutionize higher education by integrating educational escape rooms into university curricula. During the meeting, project partners defined objectives and methodologies to empower universities in creating engaging educational escape rooms, agreed on tools for seamless collaboration and resource sharing, selected the best technology for building the project website, and outlined strategies for effective implementation and dissemination. Educational escape rooms are an innovative way to enhance learning by combining critical and creative thinking, helping students develop both hard and soft skills. However, barriers to their widespread adoption still exist.

The IGLUE project aims to overcome these challenges by providing a comprehensive methodology and virtual platform for designing, conducting, and sharing educational escape rooms, training for 125 or more teachers, offering 30 educational escape rooms reaching over 1,500 students, and creating a decentralized European network to promote the adoption of these innovative educational activities. The project will also develop and evaluate a series of educational escape rooms to teach course-specific topics and soft skills, validating the methodology and technological solutions in various higher education settings, including face-to-face and distance learning, as well as engineering and humanities courses. Lastly, multiplier events will be organized to extend the project’s reach and impact, involving educational institutions at all levels.
